CleanMeter Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app “CleanMeter” handles information.
CleanMeter helps users visualize elapsed days against user-defined guide days for daily items. The app does not objectively measure or judge the condition of any item.
1. Information handled by the app
The app stores the following information entered by the user on the device:
- Item name, category, icon, and action type
- Last replaced, washed, or cleaned date
- Guide days, notification settings, notes, and history
- Shopping notes, search keywords, and manually registered URLs
- Custom photo icons selected by the user
- In-app purchase state for hiding in-app ads
2. Local storage and server communication
The app’s primary data is stored on the device. The app does not send item data, history, notes, or custom photo icons to a developer-operated server.
When ads, external links, in-app purchases, or App Store features are used, the policies of external services such as Apple, Google, Amazon, Rakuten, and Yahoo! Shopping may apply.
3. Camera and photos
The app may use the camera or photo library when the user chooses to set a photo icon for an item. Selected or captured images are stored on the device for icon display.
4. Notifications
If enabled by the user, the app may display local notifications for user-defined guide dates. The app can still be used even if notifications are not allowed.
5. Ads
The app may display ads using Google AdMob. For ad delivery, Google may collect information such as advertising identifiers, device information, ad impressions/interactions, and approximate location.
Depending on region and settings, the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) may display consent or privacy options related to ads.
6. In-app purchases
The app may offer in-app purchases to hide in-app ads. Purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit and the App Store. The app checks purchase status to control whether in-app ads are shown.
7. Product links and affiliate links
The app lets users register product URLs and replacement search keywords for each item. Product links are an auxiliary feature and are not required to use the app.
Some links may include advertising or affiliate links. If a user purchases through a link, the developer may receive compensation. Please check prices, availability, and product information on the destination site.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
8. External links
External links open in Safari or external apps. Information handling on external websites is governed by each website’s privacy policy.
9. Deleting data
Users can delete items, history, shopping notes, and photo icons by using the app’s data deletion features or uninstalling the app. In-app purchase history is associated with the user’s Apple ID and is not deleted by deleting app data.
10. Children
The app is not primarily directed to children.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated due to feature changes, legal requirements, or platform policy changes. Important changes will be announced on this page or in the app.
